Project title: The use of eDNA to inform bat conservation in caves and beyond
We’re pleased to announce that Drs Mark Steer and Paul Lintott have secured funding for a PhD looking at how eDNA can provide insights into bat occupancy within caves and other locations.
Fieldwork is planned for sites in the UK and Jamaica. Full training will be provided, but having prior ecological or genetic expertise would be advantageous.
There’s a quick turn-around on the application process. Application deadline is Feb 24th, with the PhD starting in April 2023.
If you are keen to know more details then see the listing on FindAPhD.com or email Mark.Steer@uwe.ac.uk for information.
