Research interests: Remote sensing and GIS; butterfly and plant ecology; landscape geography; sustainable travel

I currently work as the GIS Technical Instructor in the CHSS technical team. I love all things maps and remote sensing! I am also currently supporting butterfly research in Romania with Fundatia Adept on their LIFE Metamorphosis project, specifically looking at the relationship between butterflies and flowers.

I completed the Advanced Wildlife Conservation in Practice master’s in December 2022 and my thesis focussed on the impact of local and landscape factors on butterflies in Bristol’s greenspaces.

Alongside the master’s I worked at an ecological consultancy and was heavily involved with Biodiversity Net Gain calculations and mapping. Before this, I worked at Sustrans as a GIS officer carrying out spatial data analysis for a number of active travel projects.
